Colour Blindness at Microsoft.
Unbelievable. It is the twenty-first century and yet a huge behemoth of a company, like Microsoft, can manage to drop a clanger like this.
Racism is completely unacceptable. It doesn’t matter if we are talking about stupid little things like an offensive advertisement or about lynching’s by the Ku Klux Klan; it all boils down to ignorance. Not only is it ignorant though, it is so pathetic that it hardly warrants me spending time to write about it. The world is full of people and they come in a variety of colours, shapes and sizes. What more is there to say? Is there some problem that is automatically caused by this that I am unaware of?
At least people can see how insulting this advert is. Even if you went back about thirty years it would not be an easy thing for everyone to agree that it was wrong.
Besides, we now have our first black president. I, for one, am proud to have seen this historic moment take place in my lifetime.
