It pays for venues to double up these days - bar and restaurant, spa and pool, eat in or takeaway. But how about photo art gallery turns nightclub..?
Sounds cool doesn’t it? And it is cool, if not somewhat commercial which kind of spoils the cool. Proud Gallery, nestled in the stables market of hip Camden can boast of be one of the most unique and intriguing venues in London. During the day seductive lighting creates a suave and stylish Read the rest of this entry »

Spur of the Moment is a theatre show at the Jerwood Theatre in the Royal Court. The young cast of the Spur of the Moment makes this show fresh and lovely. The plot of Anya Reiss is very light and realistic.
Delilah Evans, the main character, is a 12 year old girl who has a crush on an older boy, the 21 year old Daniel Mast. Delilah’s friends find the whole situation more amusing than anything else plus Leonie, Daniel’s Read the rest of this entry »

As a former vegetarian driven back to meat eating by a chronic lack of quality and variety, particularly in restaurants, I approached Zilli Green with some trepidation. The 100% vegetarian venture from celebrity restaurateur Aldo Zilli, the Soho eaterie has drawn mixed reviews since it opened, apparently failing to match up to its ambition to be a quality accessible veggie establishment in the heart of the West End.
First impressions are good - lying just yards from Theatreland, the restaurant Read the rest of this entry »

Summing up “The Best Turkish Kebab”- it lives up to its name! This is truly a unique and sensational Kebab shop.
Going to a normal fast food restaurant, and looking at the Doner Kebab rotate on the machine, isn’t a pretty site. Whereas in The Best Turkish Kebab, in Stoke Newington N16 the Doner Kebab is perfect, the centrepiece of activity, a wondrous melange. The Doner Kebab is high quality, they promise that you get nothing but meat, no bulking Read the rest of this entry »

FARRINGDON - A place where strip clubs are the order of the day and things go bump in the night. Down a dark street, a dark secret lays hidden. It may be because of general unawareness, or it may be because of it’s name. GHOST - a club like no other. My idea of the sort of place you’d expect to see Vampires lurk in dark corners, their transluscent skin and icey eyes the only things visible through the black Read the rest of this entry »

Searching for great food in London can be a difficult feat, even harder than finding appropriate luxury bathroom accessories for your mother in law. But even the most discerning eater can find the right restaurant with the proper guidance, whether it be Street Food, Breakfast, Indian, or a fine romantic night out.
Nothing is quicker and easier than grabbing a quick bite at one of London’s many street vendors, however the best to be seen is Yalla Yalla (“Go! Go!” Read the rest of this entry »

What I like about Global Warming scientists who come out with ridiculous claims (like Global Warming isn’t really happening) is this: the rubbish they spout is so profoundly at odds with what we all see around us, and the amount of smog we see pumping out of cars, factories and planes, that it can’t help but make a great many people stand up and shout “rubbish! I don’t believe you!” What I don’t like about these scientists’ ridiculous claims is Read the rest of this entry »
